Hello! It's Us - The Unhinged Mama's themselves!

We have known one another for a decade, and yet it wasn't until years later that we really connected on a level that took our friendship and entrepreneurial spirit to another level.

We both have very "Type-A" personalities... now add to the mix being a mother during the Covid-19 fiasco, moving, having financial insecurities, and changing careers, and this became the real beginning of us finding our way to each other as friends and the start of our next journey together!

​

We have created this community out of our own desire to connect with like-minded women like ourselves. We are two career-driven Mama's, once connected locally, now living at opposite ends of Ontario, Canada. Motherhood isn't easy, it's even harder trying to find that work-life balance and not losing yourself in the process.

Anjali 

Hi! I’m Anjali and I am a mother, Realtor, second oldest of 7 kids and lover of all things Georgian Bay. After having my daughter, and coming out of maternity leave I started in Real Estate and the following year Covid “hit” and our lives got turned upside down. That same year my husband and partner of 15 years and I separated as my daughter was only 2.5 years old. This led to selling my first home, moving to a new town, and a divorce which was only just finalized 2.5 years later. 

Raising my daughter solo, being an entrepreneur and navigating a new town, new life, and now a new partner has been a journey. Over the last few years I have found such comfort and strength in building this next season of my life with wonderful people around me. Over all these changes in my life in the last few years, it’s been surprising to those who have come in and out of my life. Building a community of like-minded people who understand me, and those I can learn from, relate to and add value to my life is everything. This community Mikhayla and I are looking to grow together brings such excitement and value into my life already - I can hardly wait to watch it grow and feel the power of this community as I have in my own life.

Hey! I'm Mikhayla, and so happy to have you here. I'm a career passionate Mama of 2 boys ages 11 and 2. I hold the title of Mama, Wifey, Homemaker, Bookkeeper, Small Business Owner and soon to be Realtor. I live in a remote little town in Northern Ontario, Canada where it's winter for what feels like 8 months of the year. I love the time indoors and spend a lot of the winter season knitting for my small hobby business The Rayn Collective, and of course - at the hockey rink supporting my oldest son's passion for sports. 

Being a Career passionate mama often has me questioning if I was meant to have kids. Balancing both is a work of art, and can cause a lot of self doubt. Rest assured, I absolutely LOVE being a mom and wouldn't change it for the world. Just because it's hard does not mean it wasn't meant to be. The days are long, but the years sure are short - and I'm here to cherish every moment for what it is because it sure is worth it.

Anjali and I strive to share what life is like as a Mompreneur - to build a community of like-minded women that have one another and don't feel as alone in this crazy balancing act of Work and Mom life that we are all equally passionate about. We want to be as transparent as possible, and empower this niche group of women who are entrepreneurial powerhouses fighting not to lose that side of themselves to motherhood.
